Starting a new Radio Show

I'm gonna take a vacation from blogging for awhile. I'm starting a new "foodie" radio show and need to devote extra time to that project! I'll be back in a few weeks.

Come Back Tomorrow for Details!

I'll be posting all the details of the pink tablescapes tomorrow. We've had a great event ... tablescaping for the cure!

Just Created a Tablescapers Twibe

Hey, Tablescapers! I've created a Twibe just for us. Thought we might use it to share information quickly, when we find bargains or great ideas for our tables. This way, if I'm standing in a favorite shopping spot and see a great value, I can Tweet all of you ... and you can stop what you are doing, grab your checkbook and run right out and get whatever fabulous bargain I find. You can join the Twibe and do the same thing!

Tablescape Thursday - Sunflowers Meet Pumpkins!

It's a busy week for me, so my sunflower posting will have to make you smile! We had a little wine and snacks over the weekend and this was the set up! I brought a few of my garden ornaments inside and worked them into the pumpkin/sunflower display on my kitchen shelves! Apples and caramel dip for Grandbaby ... but wine for me! I've also posted some pictures from one of the tables I set for the recent Women's Conference. I taught a workshop on tablescaping and party planning!

This is the week that Dick Gregory is coming to dinner ... with a couple hundred other people, so I've been busy making centerpieces. I stuffed faux pumpkins with silk flowers; attached smaller pumpkins and big sunflowers. You'll see pictures next week!

I've left photos up from last week's tablescape post. Maybe you didn't get a chance to look at all the posts last week ... I know I didn't! As always, special thanks to Susan at www.betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com for hosting our fun!

You're asking about the little cast iron skillets!

The little cast iron skillets in my one-potter post came from /www.castironcookware.com
They are 3 1/2 inches ... and sometimes used as ashtrays. The cast iron is the Lodge brand ... doesn't have to be seasoned before using. When I finish baking in them, I clean them with soap and water, then spray them with Pam, so they don't rust.

It's Fall! Time for One-Potters!

I'm happy to participate in our fall blog party. Special thanks to Southern Hospitality for hosting! Visit the party site to jump to other posts! I know fall has arrived, when my husband starts getting out the "big pots". He's the one-pot cook at our house. I'm happy to come home from work ... to this retired man's kitchen ... I am well fed!
