Dinner for the Military was a big success! They were happy with smoked beef briskit, vegetable lasagna, cheesy potatoes, Amaretto carrots, Caesar salad and a variety of cookie bars! We don't decorate for this group ... they are a "no frills" bunch! However, tomorrow I start the process of making 26 stuffed (faux) pumpkin centerpieces for a dinner honoring Dick Gregory. Gregory is an alum of Southern Illinois University ... lettered in track before he found his way into the world of entertainment! He's coming back to receive several honors and one of my friends is responsible for planning a dinner for 250 ... so I'm the flower arranger for this one!
It's a few weeks away, but I'll take pictures!
I'm also participating in aa tablescape/luncheon in a few weeks. The American Cancer Society is sponsoring the event. I'll take pictures at that one, too!
Don't we have fun???!!!
